Milbemax Tablets for Cats: Oral Worming Treatment
Provide your cat with protection against the most common types of worms with one single treatment. Milbemax cat dewormer is a convenient option to get rid of various worm species and support your cat’s gastrointestinal health. It is suitable for cats aged at least 6 weeks, and weighing at least 1.1 lbs. (0.5 kg).
With the combination of milbemycin oxime and praziquantel, these tablets treat and control various stages of worms. These beef-flavored tablets are easy to administer and may be ideal for cats that are not comfortable with messy topical treatments. This oral treatment may be used in breeding, pregnant and lactating cats.
Milbemax for Cats Coverage
When administered as directed, Milbemax oral worming treatment provides wide parasite coverage. It:
Treats and controls adult and immature stages of hookworms and roundworms
Treats and controls tapeworm infection
Prevents heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis)
How Does Milbemax for Cats Work?
Milbemax for Cats contains a combination of two active ingredients: Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Milbemycin oxime causes paralysis in gastrointestinal nematodes (e.g., hookworms, roundworms), leading to their subsequent expulsion. Praziquantel, on the other hand, causes muscle contraction in cestodes (e.g., tapeworms), leading to their expulsion or death.
