Triworm-D Tablets for Dogs Coverage

Triworm-D is a worm remedy against ascarids, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms in dogs. When administered as recommended, it is effective against several common worm species, including:

• Ascarids: Toxocara canis
• Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum
• Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp.
• Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis

How Does Triworm-D Tablets for Dogs Work?

Triworm-D Tablets for Dogs contain three active ingredients: Pyrantel pamoate, praziquantel and febantel. Pyrantel pamoate disrupts the nervous system of hookworms and ascarids, causing the worms to lose their grip on the intestinal wall and leading to their expulsion from the body.

Praziquantel damages the outer layer of tapeworms, causing their detachment from the intestinal wall and elimination from the body. Febantel, on the other hand, affects the energy metabolism of whipworms and starves them, leading to their removal from the body.

Instructions To Use Triworm-D Dewormer

Directions for use:

• Triworm-D is available in different packs for convenient, weight-appropriate dosage. Weigh your dog to get the suitable pack of Triworm-D Tablets.
• Remove the required Triworm-D Tablet(s) from the pack.
• Administer the tablet(s) directly into your dog’s mouth.
• Alternatively, you can mix the tablet(s) with a small amount of your dog’s food, or crush and mix it with food.
• It is not necessary to feed your dog or place them on fasting before the treatment.
• Triworm-D: To control worm infestations, puppies should be dewormed from the age of 2–12 weeks at 2-week intervals, and at the regular intervals of 3-6 months thereafter.
• Triworm-D XL: To control worm infestations, dogs should be dewormed at regular intervals of 3–6 months.
• To reduce the chances of re-infestations, it is recommended to treat all pets in the household at the same time.
• This tablet can be given to all dogs, including young pups, old dogs, working dogs, and pregnant dogs as per a veterinarian’s guidance.
• Pregnant dogs should be dewormed 10 days before whelping to prevent parasite transmission through the placenta.
• Lactating dogs should be dewormed when their puppies get dewormed.

Dosage:

Triworm-D:

Dose according to body mass, i.e., 1 tablet/22 lbs. (10 kg)

Triworm-D XL:

Dose according to body mass, i.e., 1 tablet/77.2 lbs. (35 kg) body mass, plus half a tablet for every additional 37.5 lbs. (17 kg) body mass.

• It should be kept out of reach of uninformed persons, children and animals.
• Read the label completely and use only as directed.
• If worms persist, consult your veterinarian for guidance.
• Do not use it simultaneously with piperazine compounds.
