Provide your dog with protection against the most common types of worms with one single treatment. Milbemax dog dewormer is a convenient option to get rid of various worm species and support your dog’s gastrointestinal health. This oral treatment is available in two forms for easy dosing: Milbemax Tablets and Milbemax Chewable Tablets.
With the combination of milbemycin oxime and praziquantel, these tablets treat and control various stages of worms. It is easy to administer and may be ideal for dogs that are not comfortable with messy topical treatments.
Milbemax for Dogs Coverage
When administered as directed, Milbemax oral worming treatment provides wide parasite coverage. It:
Treats and controls larval and adult stages of hookworms, roundworms and whipworms
Treats and controls all stages of tapeworm infection
Additionally, Milbemax Chewable Tablet is indicated for:
Prevention of heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis), where concomitant treatment against cestodes is indicated
Helps in the prevention and treatment of spirocercosis
How Does Milbemax for Dogs Work?
Milbemax contains a combination of two active ingredients: Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Milbemycin oxime causes paralysis in gastrointestinal nematodes (e.g., hookworms, roundworms, whipworms), leading to their subsequent expulsion. Praziquantel, on the other hand, causes muscle contraction in cestodes (e.g., tapeworms), leading to their expulsion or death.
